Choose tracks in rekordbox and publish a catalog your audience can request songs from.

Start your session
Start a session on the CDJ-1500X or the CoBeat web app to receive audience messages and requests in real time. Audiences join via a QR code generated on CoBeat.

What do I need to prepare in advance to use CoBeat?
The following preparations are required:
- rekordbox 7.2.16 or later (AlphaTheta account registration)
- Log in to the CoBeat DJ web page
- Set up your nickname (required), profile image (optional), and Social Media links (optional) on the DJ web page

Additionally, to accept requests from your own music library, you must create a Request Catalog in the latest version of rekordbox for Mac/Windows.
Which devices are compatible with this service?
As of July 2026, the compatible device is the CDJ-1500X.
How do I start accepting messages/requests from the audience?
Press OPEN on the compatible device on which you want to view messages/requests.
If you do not have a compatible device, you can also press OPEN from the CoBeat DJ web page.
For instructions on operating your compatible device, please refer to the user manual for that device.
How do I configure message/request acceptance settings on the CoBeat DJ web page?
After logging into the CoBeat DJ web page, tap the 'Start' button under 'Start/End Session' to begin accepting messages/requests.
You can control message/request acceptance by tapping 'Pause/Resume' respectively.
After finishing your performance, tap 'End' to stop accepting messages/requests.
Where can I check messages/requests from the audience?
To display messages/requests on a compatible device, you must set the request status toggle button to OPEN on that device.
Please note that after starting a session on the CoBeat DJ web page, if you then set the request status toggle button to OPEN on a compatible device, any messages/requests sent before that point will be cleared.
